In 42 days for zone A, 35 days for zone B and 49 days for zone C. The counters in the green for the tourism sector in France
The long-awaited day of the return of foreign tourists to France has arrived. As predicted by the World Tourism Organization (WTO), the outlook for international arrivals is more favorable for 2022 than for previous years. The very good figures currently held by Belvilla show, in addition to a massive return of British travellers to France, an increase in the number of other nationalities visiting the countries:

  • +388% for the Dutch
  • +239% for Germans
  • +238% for the Belgians
  • +5% for the French

This represents +10% of bookings made for the same period in 2019, i.e. before the start of the health crisis.

And what about French tourists?
This year, the French continue to book in France, but Belvilla has noted an undeniable attraction (+114%) for homes abroad:

  • +833% French bookings in Italy compared to the same period last year
  • +175% in Germany
  • +111% in Spain
  • +142% the Netherlands
  • +95% in Belgium
  • +5% in France

A year full of promise
Belvilla by OYO recorded a 22% increase in bookings in France for 2022 compared to the same date last year. These good figures are also reflected in the other periods of the year: +81% for spring, +43% for May and June, +9% for the summer vacations and +26% for the fall.

Hanita van der Meer, Director of Press Relations at Belvilla says, “As the way things have been going for the past few months, we are confident in saying that traveler behavior is returning to normal. We are getting back to pre-Covid-19 booking habits.”
