Rental agency supports: Team Rynkeby Vestjylland starts dress rehearsal from DanCenter office on Rømø

On Monday 18 April, 25 cyclists from Team Rynkeby Vestjylland will round off Easter with an official training trip of almost 100 kilometers. The route starts and ends at the local rental agency DanCenter on Rømø, which this year sponsors the West Jutland team on their way to Paris in honor of critically ill children.

Since 2002, both Danish and foreign amateur cyclists have cycled with the Team Rynkeby Foundation to Paris to raise money for critically ill children, and this year is no exception. But before heading for the French capital, the local Team Rynkeby team in West Jutland is warming up with an official training trip of almost 100 kilometers, which runs on the 2nd of Easter on Monday 18 April at. 9.00.

One of the country’s leading holiday home agencies, DanCenter, is hosting the trip, as this year the company is the official sponsor of the West Jutland cycling team.

“I am proud that we at DanCenter Rømø can host an event like this. This means that we help to support critically ill children and their families as well as the local community here on Rømø. Both need the support, and we hope that our helping hand can contribute to making a significant difference”, says Ronni Schmidt, who is department manager at DanCenter in Rømø.

The specific route starts at DanCenter’s local office on Rømø and from here takes the riders around Lakolk, over the dam to the mainland towards Ballum, Hjerpsted, Højer, Møgeltønder, Østerby, Visby, Harres, Randerup, Mjølden, Hjemsted and the newly built tourist attraction Marsk Tower, before heading again set against the dam to Rømø and the base at DanCenter, where refreshments in the form of sandwiches, beer and soft drinks await.

Cyclist with heart
Team Rynkeby Vestjylland has a total of 46 riders, of which 25 participate in the test ride. One of them is Hanne Foged, who jumps in the saddle for the second year in a row.
“I have long dreamed of a great cycling experience, and therefore I joined the team in West Jutland last year. It was an experience of a lifetime and at the same time it felt great to make an invaluable difference for sick children and their families. I look forward to stepping on the pedals again and for the first time setting course for Paris, which we were unfortunately cheated for last year due to corona”, concludes Hanne Foged, who has also been a homeowner at DanCenter since 2019.

Team Rynkeby Vestjylland cycles to Paris on 9-16. July 2022.
