● OYO Vacation Homes will ultimately acquire TUI’s Holiday Home Tour Operator (HH TO) business (TUI Ferienhaus), out of Wolters Reisen GmbH, that was recently announced to be acquired by e-domizil from TUI. e-domizil will keep the TUI Holiday Home Online Travel Agency (OTA) and the Roundtrip Tour Operator (TO) business segments from Wolters Reisen GmbH.

Amsterdam, January 30 2020: OYO Vacation Homes and its brand Belvilla, a large vacation homes company, part of OYO Hotels & Homes, a leading chain of hotels, homes, and spaces operating on a worldwide basis has today announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Germany based e-domizil GmbH, as it intends to acquire TUI’s vacation homes tour operator business. e-domizil has recently announced to acquire from TUI the combined business TUI Wolters GmbH. e-domizil itself operates in holiday home vacation rentals, cruise business and roundtrip services and will integrate the holiday homes OTA business and roundtrip tour operator business from TUI Wolters. This acquisition is in line with OYO’s continued commitment to its vacation rentals business through strategic investments in products, services, talent and technology. This transaction is subject to customary conditions and approvals, in particular from the relevant antitrust authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Globally, the vacation homes business presents OYO with a massive opportunity covering vacation rentals and urban homes. Europe is the largest market accounting for 30-40% of this total supply. OYO Vacation Homes offers international, domestic travellers and city dwellers access to around 35,000+ homes and services 90,000+ homes through its digital services business, in over 50 countries.
The acquisition will enable OYO to significantly further scale its vacation homes tour operator business in Europe by adding over 17,000 holiday homes units to a total of 50,000+ units, and increase its presence from 22 countries to 26 countries. OYO is strengthening its footprint in Germany, France and Italy, entering into 4 new countries, as well as expanding its current base in Poland, Greece, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Norway, and the Czech Republic. Currently, the company offers fully-managed, beautiful private homes in great locations under multiple brands, including OYO Home, Belvilla, DanCenter, Danland, and the Germany-based Traum-Ferienwohnungen.
The acquisition of TUI´s holiday homes tour operator business follows e-domizil’s recently announced purchase of 100% equity in TUI AG’s subsidiary Wolters Reisen GmbH, including its 3 business segments: roundtrip tours operator (TO Business), holiday homes tour operator (HH TO Business), and holiday homes online travel agency (OTA Business). With the proposed acquisition of the holiday homes tour operator business, which is expected to complete during the first half of 2020, OYO Vacation Homes and its brand Belvilla will fully take over HH TO part of the former Wolters Reisen GmbH. It will enable the OYO Vacation Homes group to drive top-line growth through sustainable and profitable investments.
