Chief Operating Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures. Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, and Finance etc.)
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth by driving the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and company goals. Work with Finance to develop a pricing model that ensures P&L targets are achieved.
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision and lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
  • Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics. Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement. Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO
  • Assist CEO in fundraising ventures. Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
  • Working in partnership with the management team and board of directors, create the strategic   Y-O-Y plan and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Should have business line management experience in launching new technology products, and scaling for growth and profitability. Expertise in defining and scaling operational processes, both internally and with external partners
  • Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues. A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Should be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues. Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
