Encouraging results for the 2022 winter vacations… and the months to come

Paris, February 24, 2022 – In the final stretch of the winter vacations, while some people have already gone back to work, others are still enjoying their winter break. Belvilla by OYO, the vacation home rental specialist, has recorded a significant 43% increase in reservations in France for February and March compared to 2019.

THE MOST POPULAR FRENCH REGIONS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR

Thanks to the reopening of the ski resorts and a lighter health protocol for winter sports, including the end of the wearing of masks in the ski lifts, the attendance of winter sports resorts seems promising and with it, the affluence to the mountainous regions. It is therefore no surprise that the Northern Alps are at the top of the podium (20% of total bookings in France) with a strong increase in reservations (+209%) compared to last year. The same is true for the Grand Est region, second in the ranking, with an increase of 24%. Finally, the bronze medal goes to Normandy, which remains in the top 3 of the most popular French regions for these winter vacations. 

A CONTINUOUS INCREASE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

Belvilla by OYO has recorded a 25% increase in bookings in France for 2022 compared to the same date last year. These good figures are also reflected in the other periods of the year: +108% for this Spring, +43% for the months of May and June, +15% for the summer vacations and +26% for this Autumn.
