Belgium on top with most of the awards in Europa

Zurich, 23 December 2021. Not less than 265 Belgian holiday homes received a prestigious Belvilla award last week. The international full service online holiday home operator rewarded a total of 1,510 homes throughout Europe for their outstanding quality, service and hospitality. Remarkable: no other country scored better than Belgium. 

There are 265 of them: the Belgian Belvilla winners. The owners of the holiday homes received their award digitally, on Thursday 16 December 2021. From now on, their homes will bear the title of ‘Most Popular Belvilla’. Because it was the public who decided which holiday homes would win the awards. 

The winning Belvilla’s are among the 20% most booked holiday homes in Belgium. They did not receive a single complaint in the past year. And in the reviews they score 8/10 or higher. These criteria were applied on all Belvilla holiday homes in Europe where you can rent a Belvilla. As a result, the awards are not only a thoughtful reward for the owners of the homes. They also guide our customers to the best holiday homes on the platform.

Belgium in first place
Belvilla handed out a total of 1,510 titles, spread across 17 European destinations. With 265 selected holiday homes, Belgium claims the gold medal. Germany follows with 264 awards. France won 240 awards, making it the top three. Italy (196) and Austria (186) follow in fourth and fifth place respectively. 

Last year there were 1,024 holiday homes on the prize list. This year Belvilla added more than 450. This proves the increasing quality of the offer. And that in the whole of Europe.
